My artistic practice navigates the intersections of displacement, cultural identity, and memory, using a multidisciplinary approach extends across painting, sculpture, video art, and music. My work is deeply influenced by poetry and nature, serving as both a mirror for self-analysis and a lens for broader socio-political narratives.
My experience of unrootedness and disconnection from homeland informs the emotional depth of my work. Through my art, I revisit and rewrite personal and collective memory, reflecting on the evolving nature of identity in the diaspora.
For me, artistic expression functions, as a survival vessel allowing me to exist in-between cultures while creating spaces of shared resonance for others with similar experiences.
By integrating multiple mediums, I construct visual narratives that examine the tension between belonging and displacement, fluidity of identity.
I am an Iranian Canadian artist, born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and migrated to Canada in 2009. I earned a BFA with Honors in Visual Arts from York University in 2024, and diploma in Digital Arts from George Brown Collage in 2011.
