I’m Here and There

- Acrylic on canvas - 50x50 in - 2021 . . . In this painting, I was inspired by the Two Fridas by Frida Kahlo in 1939. I aimed to echo the experience of separation from “home” by placing myself in the real moment and place, next to my empty space. The plant that passes through me represents resistant in holding the connection with self here and there.
